Active Causative Form

Definition :

Causative verb are used when one thing or person causes another thing or person to do something. It means when we don’t do something ourselves,instead we need someone else to do something for us.

There are two basic causative structures :

1.       Active Causative Form

2.       Passive Causative Form

Active Causative Verb

The active causative verb as :

1.       Let

Let is used when we want to allow someone to do something

Example :

·         Shena let her son swim with his friends

·         Mr. anton let anna leave class early

2.       Make

Make is used when we want to force someone to do something

Example :

·         The president is making his cabinet members sign this document

·         Diana made her son be quite in theater

3.       Have

Have is used when we want to give someone the responsibility to do something

Example :

·         I had my jacket cleaned yesterday

·         Radit is having his father contact the officials

4.       Get

Get is used when we wan to convince to do something or to trick someone into doing something

Example :

·         I got my computer fixed

·         My friend get me to take the test
